Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering exceptional musculoskeletal care in an orthopedic setting. You will prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures such as casting and wound care, and maintain accurate EMR documentation for efficient patient flow.

This role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA) preferred or completion of MA program.
• Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems.
• Current CPR certification (CPR/BLS).
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred; three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for visit and directs to examination or X-ray rooms.
• Interviews patients, records medical histories, may order X-rays.
• Assists providers during examinations as directed.
• Performs dressing changes, vital signs, blood draws, casts/splints, sutures/staples.
• Prepares and orders medications, x-ray, rehab, and DME as directed.
• Documents in EMR, updates patient history within 24 hours.
• Schedules appointments, tests, and follow-ups; coordinates care.
• Maintains exam rooms and sterilizes instruments; cleans daily.
