Job summary

Pinnacle Orthopaedics & Sports in Marietta, GA seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced orthopedic setting. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist with casts and wound care, and maintain accurate EMR documentation to ensure seamless care.

Responsibilities include patient flow, appointment scheduling, pre- and post-visit education, vital signs, and basic procedures under provider direction. Some travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Current CPR certification (CPR, BLS) required.
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
• Three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for visit by directing to examination or X-ray rooms and assisting with positioning.
• Interviews patients and records medical histories; may order X-rays per protocol.
• Assists providers during examinations as directed.
• Duties include dressing changes, vital signs, blood draws, casting/splints, sutures removal.
• Prepare and order medications, x-rays, rehab, DME per provider.
• Document in EMR within 24 hours of visit.
