Job summary

Novant Health's Orthopedic specialty care team in Winston-Salem is hiring an Orthopedic Specialty Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). You will care for patients recovering from joint replacements, orthopedic and spine surgeries, with RN- and interdisciplinary support.

Responsibilities include post-surgical care, pain management, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, smooth recovery in our newly renovated 39-bed unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program is required.
• One year of relevant experience is required.
• Appropriate state LPN license is required.
• Strong computer, phone etiquette, and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-surgical care and pain management for orthopedic patients.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery.
• Care for patients recovering from joint replacements, orthopedic and spine surgeries.

What You'll Do

Orthopedic Specialty Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Join our newly renovated 39-bed Ortho & Spine Specialty Care Unit, caring for patients recovering from total joint replacements, orthopedic and spine surgeries, and complex headaches and intractable migraines. RNs provide comprehensive post-surgical care, pain management, patient education, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patients throughout their recovery.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program, required.
• Experience: One year of relevant experience, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Appropriate state LPN license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Computer skills, Phone call etiquette, Organizational Skills.
