Job summary

Novant Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic specialty care unit at Forsyth Medical Center – Winston Salem, NC. Full-time schedule 7:00am–7:00pm on a 39-bed unit focused on total joint replacements and spine care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a 4-year/bachelors degree is required.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the Orthopedic and Spine Specialty unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and coordinate care with the team.
• Ensure safety, accuracy of medications, and prepare patients for procedures.

Unit Description:Ortho and Spine Specialty care unit is a 39 bed newly renovated unit that specializes in total joint replacements, orthopedic condition management, spine surgery/procedures, complicated headaches and retractable migraines.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course, preferred.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
