Novant Health Brain & Spine Surgery is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)!

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, no weekends

The Brain & Spine Surgery team at Cotswold is seeking a LPN with strong clinic or neurology experience. This role supports patient care through clinical assessments, coordination, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. While primarily based in Cotswold, the position includes a travel component to assist other locations as needed.

The Licensed Practical Nurse serves as a member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with other team members to provide care that promotes optimal health. The Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the care of the patient during their health journey. The Licensed Practical Nurse accepts accountability for provision of care, as part of the RN led team, in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What You'll Do

Job responsibilities include:

  • Obtain and record patient vital signs.
  • Perform patient intake, including collecting medical history and verifying information.
  • Review and update patient charts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare exam rooms and set up necessary equipment for appointments.
  • Complete and process FMLA paperwork and other medical forms.
  • Communicate and coordinate with radiology staff regarding patient imaging needs.
  • Collaborate with providers, including MDs and APPs, to support patient care.
  • Initiate and obtain authorizations for outgoing referrals.
What We're Looking For
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program, required.
  • Experience: One year of relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Appropriate state LPN license, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Computer skills, Phone call etiquette and Organizational Skills.
