Job summary

Frederick Health Medical Group (FHMG) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) — either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant — to join our Orthopedic practice in support of the Joint Replacement program.

The APP will partner closely with an orthopedic joint replacement surgeon to evaluate, treat, and prepare patients throughout the hip and knee care continuum, from initial evaluation to long-term follow-up.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nurse Practitioner or PA credentials with current Maryland license.
• Active DEA and Maryland CDS license.
• BLS certification required; unrestricted license.
• Experience in orthopedics/joint replacement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with hip/knee conditions.
• Preoperative assessment and postoperative follow-up.
• Non-surgical management and conservative care.
• Assist surgeon in operating room as appropriate.
• Coordinate rehabilitation and therapy services.
• Document thoroughly in EMR; participate in quality initiatives.
