Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Orthotics DME Technician to support orthopedics across our market. You will fit and educate patients on devices, apply casts, manage equipment inventory, and use Epic and MotionMD to verify benefits and collect patient responsibilities.

This role requires travel to multiple clinic locations, reliable transportation, and flexible scheduling to meet patient and clinic needs. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior medical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of orthopedic bracing, DME billing, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in fitting devices and using Epic and third‑party software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Fit and educate patients on orthopedic devices and DME per provider orders, ensuring proper sizing and usage.
• Apply and remove casts and splints as directed by providers and maintain cast room readiness.
