Job summary

University Hospitals seeks a DME Ortho Tech for the Sports Medicine department at the Main Campus with 2-3 days travel on West or East sides. Responsibilities include measuring, fitting and applying orthopedic devices, educating patients and families, and coordinating with physicians and staff.

The role requires the ability to use Microsoft Office and EMR systems, plus strong communication skills and teamwork. Travel is ~10% of duties.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalent / GED is required.
• Experience in cast application and splinting is preferred (3+ years in DME/Orthopedic tech or athletic training).
• Knowledge of DME devices, fitting and orthopedic treatments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure, fit and apply custom orthopedic devices and OTS products.
• Educate patients, families, and coworkers on DME products and devices.
• Interact effectively with physicians, clients, and coworkers.
• Communicate clearly verbally, in writing, and on the phone.
