Job summary

The Hughston Clinic is seeking a qualified professional to assist with durable medical equipment (DME) supplies, casting, and related patient care activities. Responsibilities include casting, DME handling, and assisting with medications as directed by a physician.

Requirements include two years of casting experience, a High School diploma, and Basic Life Support certification. Travel to satellite clinics may be required and a valid driver's license may be needed for some assignments.

Qualifications

• Two years of casting experience are required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to cast room or DME area for analysis of needs.
• Remove and apply casts (fiberglass/plaster) and other appliances as needed.
• Assist in fracture reductions, minor surgical procedures, and remove sutures or staples.
