Ochsner Health in Meridian, MS seeks a compassionate CNA to assist with basic patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse. You will support the plan of care, maintain a safe environment, and communicate effectively with patients and care teams.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, hospital/telemetry experience, and are prepared to obtain CNA certification, BLS, CPI within 30 days of hire. The role requires flexible scheduling and commitment to patient safety.

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability).

Responsabilités

• Supports the plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of skills verification.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
• Provides care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas.
• Communicates patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and other staff members, including multi-disciplinary teams.
• Completes documentation of patient related tasks.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
