Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the St. Elizabeth Boardman Orthopedics practice. The CMA works closely with the primary physician to deliver quality patient care, review and update health records, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

The role includes vital signs measurement, chart reviews, and necessary clerical support. Education requires a High School degree or GED, and CMA certification within 12 months of start date with BLS preferred

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required or equivalent.
• Active Medical Assisting certification within 12 months of start date is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred prior to independent patient care) is required for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and deliver excellent customer service.
• Review and update patient charts, verify diagnostic tests and hospital reports.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, track referrals, answer phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
