Job summary

Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, WA is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support physicians and APPs across multiple orthopedic locations. The role includes patient care, specimen collection, medication administration, and collaboration with front office staff.

The position is 0.8 FTE with day shifts and a Monday–Friday schedule. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible Medical Assistants, with the role floating among Downtown Spokane, Northpointe, and Spokane Valley locations.

Qualifications

• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff.
• Interview patients.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture.
• Administer medications in accordance with Washington State DOH regulations and competency.
• Relay instructions to patients and their families/caregivers.
• Send and receive patient medical records.
• Facilitate patient referrals.
• Prepare forms for patients.
