Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for the Orthopedics Center of Excellence to support the manager in coordinating nursing care and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. The CNC may provide direct patient care and coordinates staff activities across the department, reporting to the Assistant Manager/Manager.

The ideal candidate holds an active Oregon RN license with ACLS and PALS, a BSN preferred, and at least 3 years of nursing leadership or

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Required: 3 years’ nursing experience.
• Current RN license in Oregon; ACLS and PALS certifications required or as stated.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management to coordinate quality aspects of patient care activities.
• Coordinate unit-specific initiatives with unit managers.
• Perform multiple duties with efficiency and composure across shifts.
• Serve as patient care giver in the Emergency Department when needed.
• Provide education/re-training and in-services with nursing education and managers.
• Show empathy to patients and families experiencing pain, grief, or trauma.
• Model teamwork and coordinate staff activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Incorporate guest relations in daily activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements with department teams.

Education

Registered Nurse license in Oregon

BSN preferred
