Qualifications

• National certification must be attained within 6 months of employment if not certified.
• Maintain certification/degree to meet compliance for this position.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians and staff to maximize outcomes.
• Orients patients to the hospital environment and routine.
• Documents all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
• Participates in unit quality improvement initiatives.
• Provides care per the patient's plan and labels/delivers specimens per policy.
