Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and successful completion of a medical assistant program AND one of the following certifications or registrations: CCMA, CMA, NCMA, RMA. Certification and/or registration must be maintained

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with procedures
• Conduct follow-up with patients on lab and test results
• Room patients
• Obtain ECGs
• Preload and confirm office appointments

Education

High school diploma or GED; completion of medical assistant program; or current student nearing completion of Medical Assistant program; externship encouraged

Certification/Registration: CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or RMA

Ability to obtain accurate vital signs and patient histories

Competent in use of computer software
