EmergeOrtho is seeking a Medical Assistant in North Carolina to provide professional patient care under physician supervision. This role may require travel to Arden and Brevard offices and involves preparing patients, facilitating labs, and assisting with documentation and clinical duties.

The team emphasizes immediate hiring, a collaborative environment, and strong benefits. Candidates should have CMA certification or equivalent and CPR, with excellent communication and documentation skills.

Competenze

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• CMA Certification, or other equivalent education, certification, licensure, or related degree preferred.
• Medical training and/or experience in casting or splinting preferred.
• Knowledge of lab/diagnostic tests and handling paperwork.
• Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications.
• Knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
• Working knowledge of managed care basics.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.

Mansioni

• Obtains and documents patient medical history including reason for visit and pertinent information.
• Prepares medical record information, including X-Ray films for physician review.
• Participates in minor procedures such as suture removal, dressing changes, cast or splint applications.
• Obtains prior authorization for procedures, equipment, and medication when appropriate.
• Schedules tests and off-site diagnostic procedures per physician order.
• Communicates physician referral requests to appropriate staff.
• Ensures timely communication of patient needs and test results to physicians.
• Ensures timely communication with patient regarding plan of care and responses to questions.
