Job summary

Under the general supervision of clinical leadership, the Athletic Trainer/Orthopedic Technologist provides professional health care and clinical support services within the orthopedic trauma practice. This role serves as a liaison between providers and patients, ensuring high-quality, coordinated care.

Responsibilities include performing advanced orthopedic procedures such as FRC casting, plaster splinting, and assisting in both outpatient and inpatient (hospital and operating room) settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training required (CAATE accredited).
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • State Athletic Trainer license required or compliant with state practice act.
  • BOC certification; BLS certification required or within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced orthopedic procedures such as FRC casting and plaster splinting.
  • Assist in outpatient and inpatient (hospital and OR) settings.
  • Wound care management including pin removal, staples, sutures, and VAC care.
  • Fit and educate patients on durable medical equipment (DME).
