Job summary

EmergeOrtho is seeking an Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider to join our Triangle region team in Apex, NC. The role is full-time, clinic-based with occasional travel between offices and urgent care coverage; you will work under a supervising physician to deliver high-quality, evidence-based orthopedic care.

Graduation from an accredited PA/NP program with an unrestricted NC license is required; two years of experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
• Unrestricted North Carolina license required.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with EMR and common office software.

Responsibilities

• Patient evaluation by performing appropriate history and physical exams.
• Ordering laboratory, radiological and special studies.
• Performing diagnostic procedures and administering vaccines as needed.
• Performing therapeutic procedures including suturing, I&D, reductions, splinting and injections.
• Assisting the surgeon in the OR as designated.
• Reading and interpreting imaging studies and lab reports.
• Initiation of life-saving measures as needed.
• Diagnosing and treating minor illnesses of employees.
• Telephone contact with patients as appropriate.
