Job summary

EmergeOrtho in Burlington, NC is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider to join our multidisciplinary team. This full-time clinic-based role emphasizes high-quality, evidence-based care and collaboration with supervising physicians to maximize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be licensed in NC with PA/NP certification, have at least two years of APP experience in orthopedics or a similar field, and be proficient with EMR systems and office software.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
• Medical training from an approved program.
• At least two years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Good knowledge of medical office software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and EMR programs.
• Familiarity with EMR programs.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Patient evaluation by performing appropriate history and physical exams.
• Ordering laboratory, radiological and special studies.
• Performing diagnostic procedures such as physical examinations, phlebotomy, catheterization, joint injections and aspirations and administering vaccines.
• Performing therapeutic procedures such as suturing, foreign body removal, I&D of abscesses, fracture reductions and injections.
• Assisting the surgeon in the OR as designated.
• Reading and interpreting imaging studies and laboratory reports.
• Initiation of life-saving measures as needed.
• Diagnosing and treating minor illnesses of employees of EmergeOrtho, P.A.
• Telephone contact with patients as appropriate.
