Job summary

EmergeOrtho is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our busy orthopedic urgent care in North Carolina. Working under supervision, you will provide comprehensive orthopedic care, including imaging, rehabilitation, and pain management, with the freedom to use your full licensure in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of PA/NP experience, familiarity with EMR, and strong medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
  • Medical training from an approved program.
  • At least two years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • Familiarity with EMR programs.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Patient evaluation by performing appropriate history and physical exams.
  • Ordering laboratory, radiological and special studies.
  • Performing diagnostic procedures such as physical examination, phlebotomy, catheterization, joint injections and aspirations, and administering vaccines.
  • Performing therapeutic procedures such as suturing, foreign body removal, I&D of abscesses, reductions of fractures and dislocations, splinting, casting, and injections.
  • Assisting the surgeon in the OR as designated.
  • Reading and interpreting imaging studies and laboratory reports.
  • Initiation of life-saving measures as needed.
  • Diagnosing and treating minor illnesses of employees of EmergeOrtho, P.A.
  • Telephone contact with patients as appropriate.

Who Should Apply?
