Job summary

UNC Health Orthopedics at southeastern Health Park in Lumberton, NC is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its Orthopedics team. The role focuses on a predominantly outpatient practice with about one day per week in the operating room, Monday through Friday, roughly 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., with no on-call requirements. This position offers collaboration with physicians, APPs, nursing and support staff, access to UNC Health resources, and requires NC licensure

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for North Carolina licensure.
• Two or more years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Orthopaedic and/or surgical experience highly desirable.
• Must meet applicable medical staff credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Predominately outpatient clinic-based practice.
• Approximately one day per week in the OR.
• No call requirements.
• Collaborative practice environment with physicians, APPs, nursing and clinical support staff.
• Epic electronic medical record implementation.
• Serve a diverse patient population in southeastern North Carolina.
