Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. in Boston, MA seeks an Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP) for per diem, variable shifts.

The clinician will provide consultative medical support to orthopedic and surgical patients, perform initial consultations on high-risk postoperative cases, and conduct daily rounds with a focus on comprehensive patient assessment. Requirements include MA licensure, NCCPA or Adult/Family NP certification, DEA license, 2–4 years acute care inpatient experience, and current BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice in Massachusetts
• DEA license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Master's Degree from an accredited PA or NP program

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative medical support to orthopedic and other surgical patients throughout the hospital
• Perform initial consultations on high-risk post-operative patients in orthopedic and spine services
• Conduct daily rounding and full assessment of medical conditions for post-operative patients
• Review accuracy of medications and manage perioperative medical conditions
• Coordinate patient discharge with case manager and attending physician
• Communicate with patients' primary care physicians regarding medication changes and follow-up of post-operative complications
• Perform Histories and Physicals as needed

Education

Master's Degree in PA/NP program

NCCPA or Adult/Family NP certification

Massachusetts licensure to practice
