Responsibilities

• Assist with the application and removal of basic casts, splints, and braces for orthopedic patients and support clinical staff in routine patient care tasks.
• Perform patient intake duties: obtain vital signs, confirm information, document histories, and prepare exam rooms.
• Help maintain clinic flow and provide basic instructions on cast or splint care to patients and families.
• Assist orthopedic staff during emergency visits and in the OR setting when needed, following sterile precautions.
• Maintain casting area inventory, log charges, and coordinate discrepancies with supervisor.
• Adhere to applicable regulatory requirements (HIPAA, JCAHO) and provide quality customer service.
