Dayton Children's in Dayton, OH, is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to support orthopedic providers across outpatient clinics and the South Campus.

You will apply and adjust casts, splints, educate families, monitor safety, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure efficient clinic flow and high-quality patient care. This full-time role requires a High School Diploma and 0–3 years in healthcare, with after-hours coverage on select evenings.

Responsibilities

The Ortho Tech is responsible for the application, adjustment, and removal of orthopedic casts, splints, and related devices, while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and education throughout the treatment process. This role works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and clinic staff to support efficient clinic flow, high quality care delivery, and an excellent patient and family experience.Ortho Techs demonstrate strong clinical skills in casting and splinting (including upper and lower extremity applications), assist with patient assessments such as vital signs and pain screening, and provide clear education to patients and caregivers regarding device care, activity limitations, and follow up needs.
