CHILDRENS ORTHOPAEDICS AND SCOLIOSIS SURGERY ASSOC in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a full-time Orthopaedic Technician to support physicians and clinical staff. Qualifications

• Orthopaedic casting experience or OTC preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply and remove orthopedic devices including casts, splints, and braces.
• Assist physicians, ARNPs, and PAs with exams and minor procedures.
• Room patients, check schedules, and organize patient flow.
• Provide patient education related to orthopedic care and equipment.
• Accompany and assist patients with mobility, transfers, and dressing as needed.
• Chart and document care accurately and thoroughly.
• Answer patient calls and relay pertinent clinical information.
• Clean and maintain exam rooms, instruments, and orthopedic equipment to meet infection control standards.
• Prepare and stock rooms for procedures and visits.
• Order, sort, and organize medical and orthopedic supplies.
• Follow scheduled maintenance procedures for clinical equipment.
• Promote and protect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and safety codes.
• Communicate issues related to patient care or workflow to supervisors in a timely manner.
