The Children's Orthopaedic and Scoliosis Surgery Associates, LLP in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking an Orthopaedic Technician to join a premier orthopaedic team dedicated to compassionate, expert care.

Qualifications

• Orthopaedic casting experience or OTC preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, ARNPs, and PAs with exams and minor procedures.
• Room patients, check schedules, and organize patient flow.
• Apply and remove casts, splints, braces.
• Provide patient education related to orthopaedic care and equipment.
• Accompany and assist patients with mobility, transfers, and dressing as needed.
• Chart and document care accurately and thoroughly.
• Answer patient calls and relay pertinent clinical information.
• Clean and maintain exam rooms, instruments, and equipment to meet infection control standards.
• Prepare and stock rooms for procedures and visits.
• Order, sort, and organize medical and orthopedic supplies.
• Follow scheduled maintenance procedures for clinical equipment.
• Promote and protect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and safety codes.
• Communicate issues related to patient care or workflow to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work culture.

As an Orthopaedic Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and clinical staff while delivering exceptional care to our patients. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting providers, rooming patients, and applying/removing casts and splints.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support
