Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for its Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine practice in Florence, SC. You will deliver diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitative care for musculoskeletal conditions, working within a team that emphasizes patient-centered outcomes.

Expect a 40-hour week (typical 8am–5pm) with inpatient, outpatient and ED responsibilities. Epic EHR is used; there are opportunities to precept students and contribute to a collaborative care model.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and licensure eligibility, or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with APRN licensure eligibility.
• RNFA certification must be obtained within first year of hire; exceptions for OR experience.
• DHEC and DEA licenses required; BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday; 8am–5pm typical schedule.
• Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department management/consultation (13 years–death).
• Evaluates and treats based on history, exam, radiology, labs and tests.
• Initiates referrals and consults with attending or collaborating physicians.
• Documents and bills for direct care.
• Potential to precept MUSC advanced practice provider students.
