Job summary

MUSC Health – Florence Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for its Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine practice in Florence, SC. The successful candidate will deliver a full range of diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitative services for musculoskeletal injuries and disorders.

Ideal candidates will hold PA or APRN credentials with orthopaedics experience, RNFA certification, and current BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN.
APRN must have RNFA certification obtained within first year of hire or exceptions for extensive OR experience.
Orthopaedics experience as PA or NP is preferred.
DHEC and DEA licenses required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

Provide a full range of diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitative services for musculoskeletal injuries and disorders.
Evaluate patients through history, exam, radiology and labs to guide care.
Initiate referrals and consult with supervising physician.
Document care and bill appropriately for direct services.
Potentially precept students and train new team members.
