Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks an Orthopaedic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join Surgical Services in Exeter, NH. You will act as a 1st/2nd surgical assistant and deliver perioperative care from rounds to ED consults and OR support.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in NP or PA, NH licensure or eligibility, and national certification (RNFA for NP). BLS is required and eligibility for staff privileges is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of directly related surgical experience.
• Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current New Hampshire license (or eligible).
• NP: National certification + RNFA program completion & required OR hours.
• PA: National certification via NCCPA.
• Current BLS certification.
• Eligibility for medical staff appointment and clinical privileges at Exeter Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Serve as 1st and 2nd surgical assistant in the Operating Room.
• Conduct inpatient rounds, manage follow-up care, ED consults, and progress notes.
• Perform health assessments, establish differential diagnoses, order/evaluate diagnostic studies, and manage procedures.
• Prescribe and regulate medications per NH guidelines.
• Lead quality/improvement efforts and support specialty certification initiatives.
