Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking an Orthopaedic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join Surgical Services in Exeter, NH.

You will deliver perioperative care from inpatient rounds to OR first-assist responsibilities, collaborating closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

The role requires 1–3 years of surgical experience, a master’s degree, NH licensure or eligibility, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of directly related surgical experience.
• Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current New Hampshire license (or eligible).
• Current BLS certification.
• Eligibility for medical staff appointment and clinical privileges at Exeter Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Serve as 1st and 2nd surgical assistant in the Operating Room.
• Conduct inpatient rounds, manage follow-up care, perform ED consults, and write progress notes.
• Perform health assessments, establish differential diagnoses, order/evaluate diagnostic studies, and manage therapeutic procedures.
• Prescribe and regulate medications per NH Board of Pharmacy/Nursing guidelines.
• Review quality/efficiency metrics, lead team improvement efforts, and support specialty certification initiatives.

Join our Surgical Services team at Exeter Hospital as an Orthopaedic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant).

In this role, you will deliver comprehensive surgical care across the perioperative continuum—including inpatient rounding, Emergency Department consults, and OR first-assist responsibilities. You will work in close collaboration with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.
