Job summary

The Clinical Research Coordinator at CHILDRENS ORTHOPAEDICS AND SCOLIOSIS SURGERY ASSOC manages orthopaedic research studies from planning through completion in close collaboration with physicians and clinical staff. You will coordinate study activities, recruit participants, manage and analyze data, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include preparing IRB materials, screening patients, collecting data, and preparing reports and presentations for local and national conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a health-related field or allied health program.
• Minimum of two years of research experience, orthopaedic research preferred.
• Experience preparing and submitting IRB materials.
• Knowledge of research methods and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to perform statistical analyses and prepare research reports.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy.
• Experience with project management.
• Proficiency with EMR, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize multiple studies and meet deadlines.
• Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and practice policies.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Applicable professional licensure for direct patient care duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit IRB applications and renewals.
• Screen patients for study eligibility and obtain informed consent.
• Collect and maintain research data, analyze data, and prepare tables and reports.
• Assist with study protocols, budgets, grants, and audits.
• Assist with writing abstracts, manuscripts, and conference submissions.
• Communicate findings to investigators and present at conferences.
• Coordinate with physicians, staff, and sites to ensure protocol adherence.
• Attend meetings and training, protect patient confidentiality, and perform other duties.
