Job summary

Scoliosis Surgery Associates, LLP is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to drive orthopaedic studies from planning to completion. You will work with physicians and staff to recruit, coordinate, and analyze data while ensuring protocol compliance and regulatory requirements.

The role involves IRB submissions, patient education, data management, and preparing reports; you will collaborate across sites and present findings at meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a health-related field, or allied health program.
• Minimum of two years of research experience; orthopedic research preferred.
• Experience preparing and submitting IRB materials.
• Knowledge of research methods, protocols, human subjects protections, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to perform statistical analyses and prepare research reports.
• Proficiency with EMR, spreadsheets, and data systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including educating patients and collaborating with clinical teams.
• HIPAA, OSHA, and practice policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit IRB applications, supporting documents, and renewals.
• Screen patients for study eligibility, coordinate informed consent, and educate patients and families.
• Collect and maintain research data, perform analyses, and prepare tables, graphs, and reports.
• Assist with study protocols, budgets, grant submissions, and audits.
• Assist with writing, editing, and submitting abstracts, manuscripts, and conference presentations.
• Communicate findings to investigators and present at conferences.
• Coordinate with physicians, staff, and sites to ensure adherence to study protocols and requirements.
• Attend meetings and trainings, protect patient confidentiality, and perform other duties as assigned.
