Job summary

OrthoFi Inc. is seeking an Orthodontic Insurance AR Specialist to resolve outstanding balances and maximize reimbursement for orthodontic practices. You will research unpaid claims, follow up with carriers, reconcile payments, and make account adjustments with high accuracy.

You will work remotely in a high-volume environment, leveraging experience with dental insurance processes and practice management systems to ensure timely resolution and detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of orthodontic insurance experience required.
• Experience with practice management software such as Dolphin, Cloud 9, Ortho2, OrthoTrac, or TOPS.
• Experience researching and following up on unpaid or outstanding insurance claims.
• Strong understanding of dental/orthodontic insurance processes.
• Comfortable navigating multiple systems and insurance carrier websites.

Responsibilities

• Review outstanding and past-due orthodontic insurance claims to identify why payments have not been received.
• Follow up with insurance carriers by phone and through carrier websites to research claim and payment status.
• Submit and resubmit insurance claims through practice management systems, fax, or mail as needed.
• Research and resolve unpaid, underpaid, and overpaid insurance balances.
• Reconcile insurance payments and apply payments to the appropriate patient accounts.
• Make account adjustments to ensure patient and insurance balances are accurate.
• Respond to inbound patient calls related to insurance accounts and provide support when additional research or clarification is needed.
• Navigate practice management systems and insurance portals to research account and claim information.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation throughout the claims resolution process.
• Work independently to manage a high volume of accounts while meeting accuracy and productivity expectations.

About the Opportunity:

As an Orthodontic Insurance AR Specialist , you will focus on resolving outstanding insurance balances and maximizing reimbursement for orthodontic practices. You'll research unpaid and past-due claims, work directly with insurance carriers, reconcile payments, and make account adjustments to ensure claims are accurately resolved.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on orthodontic insurance experience who is comfortable navigating insurance carrier websites, following up on unpaid claims, and working through complex account issues with a high level of attention to detail.

• Basic technology proficiency and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Compensation: $19.50/hourly
