TS Orthodontics and Dental Specialists is hiring a Financial Coordinator to join our orthodontic team in Asheville. You will verify insurance benefits, process claims and manage patient accounts while delivering exceptional customer service to patients and families.

The role emphasizes accurate billing, payment arrangements, and clear explanations of insurance benefits to patients. This is a full-time, in-person position with benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Dental/orthodontic billing and collections experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification and orthodontic claims.
• Excellent customer service skills with professional handling of financial discussions.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits and process claims.
• Manage patient accounts, process payments, post charges and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare and submit orthodontic claims efficiently.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and accounts receivable.

Dental/orthodontic insurance and financial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for insurance verification and claims, patient accounts, payment arrangements, account follow-up, and helping patients understand their financial and insurance benefits.

• Assist patients with financial inquiries, contracts, payment plans and understanding their insurance benefits with excellent customer service skills
• Manage patient accounts by processing payments, posting charges and reconciling accounts
• Prepare and submit orthodontic claims efficiently
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
• Follow up on accounts receivable

Experience

• Proven experience in dental/orthodontic office settings with a focus on billing and collections
• Previous experience working with billing tailored for dental or orthodontic practices is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills coupled with the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions professionally
