You will manage the insurance claims process, ensure accurate billing, and liaise between patients, insurance providers, and the clinical team to optimize revenue while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a dental or orthodontic setting.
• Strong knowledge of dental coding standards and terminology.
• Insurance experience preferred with background in orthodontics/dental.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Clear communication with insurers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify patient insurance information for accurate claim submissions.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims; ensure payer compliance.
• Follow up on unpaid/denied claims to maximize reimbursements.
• Manage insurance billing, patient accounts, AR, and collections.
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve issues efficiently.
• Stay updated on billing standards, ICD changes, and policies.
• Assist patients with billing inquiries and payment plans.

We are a thriving 4 doctor orthodontic practice. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Orthodontic Insurance and Billing Specialist to join our dedicated orthodontic team. In this vital role, you will manage the insurance claims process, ensure accurate billing, and facilitate seamless communication between patients, insurance providers, and the clinical team. Your expertise will help optimize revenue cycles while providing exceptional service to our patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to use your orthodontic insurance knowledge in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Duties

• Review and verify patient insurance information, to ensure accurate claim submissions.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims, ensuring compliance with payer requirements.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims promptly, utilizing effective medical collection techniques to maximize reimbursements.
• Insurance billing & auditing, patient accounts, communications with responsible parties, accounts receivable, collections, month end, and office support.
• Communicate clearly with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or discrepancies efficiently.
• Stay current with updates in medical billing standards, ICD coding changes, and orthodontic insurance policies to ensure compliance.
• Assist patients with billing inquiries, payment plans, and financial arrangements while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a dental or orthodontic setting.
• Strong knowledge of dental coding standards, and dental terminology.
• Insurance experience preferred. Background in Orthodontics/Dental preferred. Experience in handling medical collections and understanding insurance claim procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Effective communication skills for liaising with insurance providers and patients alike.
