Job summary

Timber-Kids-Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions (EFDA) to support orthodontic care in Bend, Oregon. You will assist clinicians, capture radiographs and photos, and help prepare the treatment area to ensure smooth patient visits.

Qualifications

• Active license/registration to practice as a dental assistant, as required by your state.
• EFDA certification required.
• 6+ months of experience as an orthodontic assistant.
• CODA-accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Proficiency fitting bands and brackets, tying arch wires, and taking impressions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients before, during, and after their appointment
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos
• Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment
• Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures, including expanded function duties
• Assist the orthodontist in assessing patients and implementing treatment plans
• Perform routine orthodontic duties, including adjusting orthodontic gear
