Job summary

Aviva Health in Roseburg, Oregon is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to provide chairside support and accurately document treatments while upholding patient safety and clinical protocols.

The role requires radiology and EFDA certification, BLS, and experience with electronic dental records. You will collaborate with clinicians, maintain infection control, and ensure complete and compliant patient care documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Radiology and EFDA certification required.
• BLS certification required or ability to obtain certification before hire.
• Dental or EFDA experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic dental records preferred.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sterilizes dental instruments and equipment and maintains operatories and clinical areas.
• Maintains infection control procedures and uses PPE per OSHA and standards.
• Prepares patients for treatment, reviews medical history, and witnesses signatures.
• Enters patient information into the electronic dental record.
• Performs routine laboratory functions and handles models and laboratory cases.
• Provides chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists during procedures.
• Completes tasks within established timeframes and adheres to policies and procedures.
