Job summary

Salt Dental Partners is seeking a Dental Assistant with EFDA certification to join our orthodontic team in Bend, Oregon. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care with strong collaboration among doctors and staff.

You will assist during orthodontic procedures, take radiographs and impressions, and help maintain a sterile, organized clinical environment while supporting treatment plans for patients.

Qualifications

• Active license/registration to practice as a dental assistant, as required by your state.
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required.
• 6+ months of experience as an orthodontic assistant.
• Completion of a CODA accredited dental assisting program (preferred).
• Proficiency fitting bands and brackets, tying arch wires, and taking impressions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized with strong knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients before, during, and after their appointment
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos
• Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment
• Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures, including expanded function duties
• Assist the orthodontist in assessing patients and implementing treatment plans
• Perform routine orthodontic duties, including adjusting orthodontic gear
