Job summary

Hodges Orthodontics - Bensalem & Montgomeryville is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support our orthodontists three days a week. You will chairside assist, manage radiographs, and help ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.

You will also handle documentation, patient education, and sterilization, with a focus on HIPAA/compliance and team collaboration. 1+ year experience preferred; state radiography certification required; strong dental terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience as Orthodontic Dental Assistant
• CRP Certification- Radiography/ X-RAY certification per state guidelines
• Well versed in dental terminology and procedures
• Maintains a positive, collaborative and supportive disposition with team and patients
• Maintain compliance with state dental practice requirements (i.e., X-ray requirements, OSHA, and CE training).
• Understands and complies with HIPAA and HITECH Act of 2009

Responsibilities

• Strive to provide the best patient experience
• Support and Assist dentist chairside with clinical treatment of patients.
• Assist with documentation and the upkeep of records
• Listen, empathize and address all patient concerns
• Provide clear communication and education on treatment plans and maintaining oral health.
• Oversee operatory set-up and clean-up, including sterilization process.
• Take radiographs/x-rays
• Support front desk and office manager as needed with admin needs, patient calls, etc.
