Job summary

Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Texas is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Orthodontic Dental Assistant (Ortho RDA) to support our orthodontists and ensure a positive patient experience, especially for children.

You will take X-rays, impressions, assist during procedures, bond brackets, scan images, and maintain clean, organized records. Texas RDA license and BLS are required; experience with Open Dental is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant
• 1+ year of experience in Orthodontics
• Proficiency in chairside and four-handed dentistry
• Strong clinical and technical dental assisting skills
• Active Texas RDA License
• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Take patient x-rays, impressions, and orthodontic records
• Prepare patients and assist the orthodontist during procedures
• Bond brackets and scanning images
• Cleaning, preparing, and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records

About the Role

As a valued member of our clinical team, you will play an essential role in supporting our orthodontists and ensure each patient has a positive experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Taking patient x-rays, impressions, and orthodontic records
• Preparing patients and assisting the orthodontist during procedures
• Bonding brackets and scanning images
• Cleaning, preparing, and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Maintaining accurate and organized patient records

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant
• 1+ year of experience of Orthodontics
• Proficiency in chairside and four-handed dentistry
• Strong clinical and technical dental assisting skills
• Active Texas RDA License
• Current BLS certification
