Job summary

Ideal Dental is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support both patients and the clinical team throughout the orthodontic treatment process. You will be equipped with training and resources to grow your skills in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

You will assist with complex orthodontic procedures, educate patients on post-treatment care, and help manage patient flow and operational support, contributing to high-quality specialty care and long-term oral health.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic experience.
• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and create a welcoming environment throughout the orthodontic journey.
• Assist orthodontist with procedures to ensure precision and efficiency.
• Untie and tie arch-wires, bend and place arch-wires, and fit bands.
• Prepare for and assist with bonding and taking impressions.
• Take x-rays and develop radiographs; take intraoral and extraoral photos.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery.
• Coordinate care and follow-ups to ensure timely treatment and clear communication.
• Maintain accurate records to support clinical decisions and continuity of care.

• Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.
• Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.
• Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.
• Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

What do you need to have to be a part of our team?
