Ideal Dental in Addison, IL is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support patients and clinicians through the orthodontic treatment process in a fast-growing, patient-centered practice. Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic experience
• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients with a welcoming demeanor and ensuring comfort during visits.
• Assist Orthodontist with procedures and patient care.
• Untie and tie arch-wires, bend and place arch-wires, fit bands.
• Take impressions and assist with bonding preparation.
• Take and develop x-rays; acquire intraoral and extraoral photos.
• Maintain sterilization of instruments and manage supplies inventory.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery.

What you\'ll do:

• Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.

• Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.

• Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.

• Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.

• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.

• Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

What do you need to have to be a part of our team?
