Job summary

Smile Doctors is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team at our Round Rock and Austin locations. You’ll assist in placing and removing appliances, take records under supervision, help with patient flow, and support the orthodontist throughout procedures.

You’ll prepare operatory, sterilize equipment, educate patients on remote monitoring, and participate in community events. A valid RDA and radiography certification, along with CPR if required, are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of dental or orthodontic experience.
• Registered Dental Assistant certification; Radiography and CPR certifications if required by state Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances and taking full records under supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review patient charts, log data, and transcribe doctor notes to maintain accurate schedules and records.
• Prepare operatory and sterilize equipment following infection-control standards.
• Assist with remote monitoring dashboard, review patient scans, respond to messages, and triage notifications.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring processes.
• Support local store marketing and community events.
