Job summary

Smile Doctors is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant for our Austin/Round Rock locations. You will assist with appliances, records, and patient flow under an Orthodontist with a focus on clean, efficient care.

You’ll review charts, perform lab tasks, educate patients, and support remote monitoring while maintaining infection-control standards. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year of dental or orthodontic experience preferred.
• Registered Dental Assistant certification is required.
• Radiography certification if required by state Dental Board.
• CPR certification if required by state Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances and taking full records under supervision.
• Maintain patient flow and accurate scheduling.
• Review patient charts, log data, and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under supervision of an orthodontist.
• Support remote monitoring, triage patient scans, and respond to messages.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Sterilize, clean, and prep equipment and operatory per protocols.
• Assist in local store marketing and community events.
