Job summary

Smile Doctors is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. You will deliver positive clinical experiences while following strict policies and state dental laws under the Orthodontist’s supervision.

You will assist with appliances, review charts, triage remote monitoring, educate patients, and maintain infection control in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental Assistant certification may be required by state Board.
• Radiography certification if required by state Board.
• CPR certification if required by state Board.
• Some dental/orthodontic industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision.
• Review patient charts, log data and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review remote monitoring dashboard and triage patient messages.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize and prepare equipment and operatory.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
