Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry seeks an experienced chairside Orthodontic Dental Assistant who shows up ready to contribute. You will assist the orthodontist chairside, take radiographs and impressions, and keep operatories ready and sterile while guiding patients through treatment options and costs.

You will present treatment plans, discuss insurance estimates and financing, and schedule follow-ups from the chair to keep the day full.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years chairside dental assisting experience
• Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements with patients
• Experience scheduling treatment chairside and managing a provider schedule
• Working knowledge of dental insurance and procedure terminology
• Radiography certification / state-required credentials: NC
• Current CPR/BLS or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with Denticon is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during procedures to ensure efficient clinical support and patient experience
• Take radiographs and impressions, and chart accurately
• Set up, break down, and turnover operatories on schedule
• Sterilize instruments and follow OSHA and infection control standards
• Present treatment plans and explain recommendations in plain language
• Discuss fees, insurance estimates, and financing options with patients
• Schedule next visits from the chair to keep the day full
• Confirm upcoming appointments by phone and text
• Coordinate handoffs with the front desk to avoid slips
• Support teammates as needed
