Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced chairside Orthodontic Dental Assistant for a part-time role (Mondays to Wednesdays) in Georgia. You will support the dentist chairside, present treatment plans clearly, and help patients understand costs while maintaining schedules and high infection control standards.

You will also manage radiographs, impressions, and coordination with the front desk to ensure no-shows are minimized and treatments progress smoothly.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience
• Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements with patients
• Experience scheduling treatment chairside, confirming appointments, and managing a provider schedule
• Working knowledge of dental insurance and procedure terminology
• CPR/BLS current or willing to obtain it
• Radiography certification / state-required credentials as applicable

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside across general and restorative procedures
• Take radiographs and impressions, and chart accurately
• Set up, break down, and turn over operatories on schedule
• Sterilize instruments and follow OSHA and infection control standards
• Present treatment plans and explain recommendations in plain language
• Discuss fees, insurance estimates, and payment or financing options with patients
• Schedule the patient’s next visit while in the chair
• Confirm upcoming appointments by phone and text
• Fill openings and cancellations, follow up on unscheduled treatment
• Coordinate handoff with the front desk to avoid gaps
• Support teammates wherever needed
