Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced chairside Dental Assistant to support the dentist, explain treatments, and help patients understand costs. The role emphasizes accurate charting, radiographs, impressions, and keeping the schedule full.

You will present treatment plans in plain language, discuss insurance estimates, and help patients decide on care. This hands-on role requires reliability and a team-first attitude in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience.
• Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements.
• Experience scheduling treatment chairside and managing a provider schedule.
• Knowledge of dental insurance terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside across general and restorative procedures.
• Take radiographs and impressions, and chart accurately.
• Set up, break down, and turn over operatories on schedule.
• Sterilize instruments and follow OSHA standards.
• Present treatment plans and explain recommendations in plain language.
• Discuss fees, insurance estimates, and payment options with patients.
• Schedule next visits while patients are in the chair.
• Confirm upcoming appointments by phone and text.
• Fill openings and follow up on unscheduled treatment.
• Coordinate handoff with front desk to avoid slips.
