Job summary

ROG Orthodontics in Wyomissing, PA is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support doctors and patients. You will assist chairside, take X-rays and photos, fabricate retainers, and help maintain charts and equipment.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma and 1–3 years of related experience; strong communication and compassionate patient service are essential; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of orthodontics and associated appliances and equipment used.
• Action-oriented and initiative-taking, flexible in a changing environment.
• Understand and communicate techniques used in the orthodontic field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Compassion and high level of service for patients, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Establish a trusting rapport with patients and provide high level customer service.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and treatment practices.
• Work chairside with patient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances.
• Take X-Rays and photos; fabricate retainers.
• Maintain patients’ charts and transcribe doctor notes accurately.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, organized, and clean; sterilize and prepare equipment.
• Be receptive to coaching and training from doctors to develop skills.
• Other duties as required.
