Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group in Lanham / Bowie, MD is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support pediatric patients and create a positive, kid-friendly dental experience. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, and help manage patient flow with a compassionate, team-oriented approach.

The ideal candidate has X-ray and CPR certification, 1+ year ortho experience or completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program, and familiarity with Denticon or iTero is a bonus.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice; training available.
• Completion of accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Additional certification or training is a plus.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid-friendly environment.

Requirements

• X-ray and CPR certification is required

• No Saturdays
• Daytime hours – No nights!
